Ajmer Tourist Places

Adhai din ka jhonpra in Ajmer India

This is a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture. As legend says that was constructed within a period of two and half day therefore nomenclature as Adhai-din-ka-jhonpra. Originally it was the center of Sanskrit education but later Mughal Emperor Jahangir destroyed it and constructed new monument. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the Ajmer city.

Nasiyan Temple in Ajmer India

The beautiful Jain temple is one of the most lavish and decorated Jain temples in country. The temple also has a museum of considerable size that displays objects related to Jain beliefs and mythology.

The interiors of the Jain Temple are decorated with gold, silver, precious stones and semi-precious gems.

The temple is an architectural splendor of the city reflecting the true legacy of architecture the city has reflected through centuries.

Ana Sagar Lake in Ajmer India

This artificial lake was built by King Anaji, the grand father of great King Prithaviraj Chauhan. The huge embankment erected with the people's help is a fine example of the corporate life in Ajmer at that time.

Later Shah Jahan built a construction for the beautification of the Ana Lake. This Lake is very near to the Ajmer Dergah ajnd an important tourist spot of the city.

Government Museum in Ajmer India

This is an only museum of the Ajmer city, which is preserved the history in itself.

Ajmer government museum is situated in the magnificent fort and palace of Mughal emperor Akbar.

Epigraphs, sculptures, prehistoric antiquities and arms and weapons are the main highlights of the museum.

There is a library attached to it containing rare books and historical publications.
